Defining Your Career Path and Employment Opportunities
Where Do I Start?
Meet with Career Services by scheduling an individual appointment or watch for Online Walk-Ins to find your road map – whether that be finding your major and/or your career field.
Whether this is your first year, senior year or graduate degree, we meet you where you are at to help you discover your path.
Understanding your interests, values, personality and abilities can help you find your career path. Career Services provides career advisement, career fairs, On-Campus Recruiting events, workshops, and so much more to help you find your path.
Assessments can be a great way for you to explore your interests, strengths and values and learn about how your personality affects the major and career decision making process. Career Services offers several assessments that can be helpful in generating ideas and potential careers.
There are many ways to identify occupations that fit your personal profile: researching them online, using self-assessment instruments, talking with professionals in the field, and attending company presentations on campus. To make sure you have the most accurate picture of a career and/or occupation, it's best to use multiple methods to gather information.
